Maryann Schmidt

We would like to welcome of new Preschool Director, Maryann Schmidt.  She has served as an educator to pre-school children since 1995.  She has held teaching positions in 2-year, 3-year, and 4-year age groups.   She has also served as a Director of a Chesapeake area Christian preschool for six years. 

Among Maryann’s greatest joys is ministering to God’s precious little children and their families.  Maryann believes it is a privilege to teach and work in a Church setting, considering it her obligation to emphasize faith development in the classroom and throughout the preschool environment.

A native of Hays, Kansas, Maryann has lived in Chesapeake for the past 18 years.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University.

Maryann and her husband, Paul, are the parents of three adult children: Molly (with husband Ben), Michael and David.  In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, knitting, and watching college sports.
